Royal Blue Classic Satin Tam Wrap

This is a GORGEOUS headwrap. The satin is premium quality, and both the inside and outside is smooth. It is also a sturdy satin that is not cheap, thin, or scratchy at all.

However, the reason for my review is that the turban is not practical for me because there is no elastic encased in the satin to help the turban stay on. I have relatively short baby fine curly hair (an asymmetrical haircut) and my head measured at a 22 circumference. The turban doesn’t “slide down” to fully cradle my head and hair. Perhaps someone who wears a buzz cut or a short tailored cropped cut and has a very slim build would feel “snug” in this turban, but for me it’s kind of like having a soft luxury turtle shell on top of my hair that I am worried will fall off. When I am resting on the couch or in bed if I turn or adjust my position it slips right off. I wore it to walk my dog but I was scared that it would fall off when I went to pick up his poop. I can’t wear it while washing up because it will fall in the sink.

It is BEAUTIFUL and ELEGANT and the knot-free design would make it ideal for comfort, when sleeping, washing up, showering, and enjoying life out and about. But without the elastic it’s probably not going to be practical for most ladies and gentlemen, whether it’s for their everyday needs or as a showpiece turban. Had I realized that there was no elastic I might have had to leave this beautiful piece for someone it was more suited for. I wish that I could have it re-tailored with…
